Project Organizers:

Please lend a hand for Japan!

We have all seen the heart aching imagery of the devastating Earthquake and Tsunami that struck Japan on March 11, 2011.

The Ogawa Family, together with the Red Cross, is challenging donors to donate for Japan disaster relief. Every tax deductible dollar you donate, the Ogawa family will match equally in contributions to the Red Cross up to $500,000. Together we can donate One Million Dollars to the Red Cross!

Donations for this campaign may be made through Crowdrise, which provides an innovative web-based donation aggregation platform. Crowdrise and the Ogawa family will cover all transaction related fees so 100% of your gift will be doubled and sent to the Red Cross to support disaster relief efforts to help those affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. If you prefer, you may also donate directly to the Red Cross Bay Area at http://american.redcross.org/HelpingHandsForJapan

Hiro and Betty, Andy, Mako and Tina, Marcus, Lisa and Athena, thank you all for your contributions. We are a Japanese and American family in the San Francisco Bay Area with deep ties to both nations. We are genuinely moved by people’s willingness to lend a helping hand for good; It’s when we feel the human race rises to shine beautifully. Arigato!
